In case you missed it, CoScreen is now part of Datadog and we would like to send a big THANK YOU to all you early users who have bravely stayed with us and provided lots of invaluable feedback over the past couple of years! We couldn't think of a better partner to keep developing the service with than Datadog. You can read more about the acquisition here.

The transition has been swift though and the team is fully focused on bringing you improvements to CoScreen — For this release with special attention to stability and performance on macOS.

What's new?

  • Improved performance on macOS by calling some native APIs related to window management less frequently. This should result in fewer situations where the app gets laggy and CPU consumption spikes. Especially right after joining a session.

  • Fixed a couple of bugs related to how remote cursors were rendered so that they would only appear on the right screen and over the right window.

  • Fixed a bug where audio would sometimes not work before leaving and rejoining a session.

  • Fixed a bug where remote streams would sometimes get scrambled on Mac M1 hardware when sharing the entire display.

Update 25 Feb, 2022 (v3.10.41)

  • Fixed a performance bug where too many processes would sometimes be launched on macOS.
